2.5.1 Emergency Plan

Facilities using and handling ethylbenzene should have developed and implemented a comprehensive spill prevention and emergency response plan.

This plan should address:

• spill detection methods,
• emergency notification procedures,
• community contacts for notification and advice on evacuation needs,
• fire prevention and protection,
• provisions for spill containment/clean-up,
• environmental protection,
• compliance with applicable local regulations or laws.
